Horseback Riding and the Blue Lagoon
Thursday 30 June 2005 at 09:00-16:00
We start by driving to the Íshestar Riding Centre in Hafnarfjörður town, only 10-15 minutes drive from Reykjavik . There we will go for a 1-hour adventurous ride into the lava fields on horses that are well suited both for the beginner and the more advanced rider. After the tour we will enjoy light lunch at the Riding Centre before heading to the extraordinary Blue Lagoon, a man made oasis in the middle of the lava field. It's a by-product of modern technology, owing its existence to a nearby power plant. We stop there for a relaxing bath in the warm, mineral rich water (water is about 38°C). A special “Blue Lagoon” cocktail (aquamarine in color like the water of the lagoon) will be served during the swim.
Price: ISK 11.900
Included: 1-hour riding tour, light lunch, entrance to the Blue Lagoon, rent of a towel and a Blue Lagoon cocktail.

Whale Watching and City Sightseeing
Friday 1 July 2005 at 08:30-15:00
A 3-hour whale safari experience with Hafsulan, a catamaran type vessel. Due to its double hull it is far more stable than most ships of the same size. Hafsulan has a cruise speed of up to 24 miles per hour, which enables it to cover a large area in a relatively short time, and therefore it's all the more easier to locate all types of whales. After the whale watching tour we walk to the restaurant Apotek (5 min. walk) where we will have lunch. Thereafter we will go for a short city sightseeing ending either at Kringlan shopping centre or at the hotel.
Price: ISK 8.700
Included: Whale watching tour and lunch.
